HERstory Counts

Description: A night out at the theatre can stay with you for minutes or even months. If you were lucky enough to see HERstory at the Red Sandcastle Theatre (922 Queen St. East) from April 22nd the the 24th under the skilled direction of Jennifer Neales, you’ll agree with the latter of the two. Snapd was invited to their dress rehearsal where seven very talented young actors each told autobiographical stories, about ten minutes in length; they were stories about love, loss, survival, strength, courage and what it means to have an indomitable spirit. Each performer made a pressing case for the theatrical power of the monologue, while conjuring up the ebb and flow of their different lives. If you saw these women perform, you’ll certainly be talking about it for months.
