Description: Foodies, brew-lovers and East side groupies converged at District 28 (28 Logan Ave) for the second annual Leslieville Food & Drink Festival. This event is an all-Eastside initiative promised to support and promote local businesses and the local community, and it delivered.
Leslieville Food & Drink Festival, formerly Silver Spoons, is a recurring event created for the Eastside of Toronto to promote entertainment, education and community support all the while having fun. This years' festival was reminiscent of the last, featuring local art displayed on large white industrial wall spaces, a dozen top shelf restaurants offering tastings and breweries serving frothing cold sips of their newest brews just in time for summer. Five separate rooms, all connected yet separate in vibe and offerings that showcased the best of the East side. Acoustic sets by Jeremy de Freitas entertained festival-goers in one room, while DJ Spence Diamonds played the best tunes from the '70's to the '90's in another room.
Special thanks to Daniels Corporation, Loblaws, Weselltoronto.com, Wharton Medical Clinic and The VandenBerg House for sponsoring an East side initiative that supports and promotes small local businesses partnership in developing and growing our cultural community.
